KUN FAYAKUN

your eyes are selfish & I am greedy.
the sea eats and eats, the coast (Land)
receding peak climate disaster. I miss you.
what is a country but an abstraction; a fantastical making?
a country is lost & a country is found, hidden between
your tongue.
I want to eat, fish-bones making new teeth. we are divined,
no body made without lust & survival. do you
remember God’s hands? the lift of your cheekbones?
how you were blown into your mother?
the apocalypse is knocking, starving, and still
I swear by no nation, no border, no man.
we are delirious in bed. pass the honey, the cream,
the feteer. Once, the weapons remade me.
Give me his eyes. I have no use for your gun
